Since her early college years, Katelyn has worked at several integrative health care clinics as well as individual Western medical settings as a way to broaden her knowledge about both the eastern and western medical world. Drawing from her international business background, world travel, yogic lifestyle and nutritional experience, Katelyn brings a great deal of empathy, skills and wisdom to her patients. She understands and lives the stress of modern day careers and family life and offers real-world guidance, solutions and support.
Katelyn practices a unique blend of Chinese and Japanese acupuncture, cupping and heat therapy techniques, along with auriculotherapy, and Mindbody (TMS) education. She also has extensive training in herbal medicine and holistic nutrition– two key components to maintaining sustainable wellness. Katelyn’s mission is to provide you and your family with the highest quality healthcare possible so that you can enjoy a renewed sense of vitality and live your life to its fullest potential.
Katelyn has recently been incorporating Mind-body Medicine into her practice - a revolutionary method for reducing and eliminating chronic pain. She studied under Dr. Howard Schubiner (John's Providence Hospital) in May of 2017 to become more familiar with MBS/TMS/PPD (Mindbody Syndrome/Tension Myoneural Syndrome/Psychophysiologic Disorder) and has been shifting her practice's focus to address this all-too-common health condition, encouraging her patients to take their healing back into their own hands. She has a special focus on uncovering the long-term effects of trauma and psychological stress on the physical body and caters her treatments to fit this model. Diagnoses that may fall into this category include (but are not limited to): Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Herniated/Bulging Discs, Spinal Stenosis, Spondylolisthesis, CRPS, TMJ, IBS, RSI, RSD, EBV, Migraine and Tension Headaches, Chronic Neck and/or Back Pain, Shoulder and Knee Pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Eczema, Chest Pain, Palpitations, Heartburn, Insomnia, Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and much more. If this sounds like something you'd like to explore further, please get in touch as Katelyn is currently the only TMS-focused Healthcare Practitioner in the Greater Milwaukee Area.
